Getting here

The darmstadtium is conveniently located in the heart of the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main region with direct access to the A5 and A67 motorways. Frankfurt International Airport can be reached by car in 20 minutes and by rail or the AirLiner shuttle bus in about 30 minutes. The AirLiner stops directly in front of the darmstadtium and runs every 30 minutes. Darmstadt’s central railway station is only a few minutes away from the Science and Congress Centre and can easily be reached by both car and public transport.

We recommend a sustainable journey with Deutsche Bahn.

Starting 1 June 2019, two streets in Darmstadt will be closed to older diesel and petrol vehicles.

The traffic restrictions apply in the eastern Hügelstraße and in Heinrichstraße in the section between Heidelberger Str. and Karlstraße.

This affects diesel vehicles of Euro standards 1 to 5 and petrol vehicles of Euro standards 0 to 2. In addition, no buses or heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) of Euro standards I to V are allowed to operate in the affected section of Heinrichstraße. You can find more information here. The streets concerned are marked with a symbol in the plan.
