Net-Zero Future Conference 2026
The Net-Zero Future Conference is part of an international initiative connecting researchers and industry leaders from Norway, Germany, India, South Africa, and the USA. The conference promotes innovation in net-zero materials, construction technologies, and sustainable built environments, aligning with global goals for quality education, sustainable cities, climate action, and international partnerships.
After the conference, a Net-Zero Future School will be held with lectures and interactive sessions. Participants can learn from experts and scientists, exchange ideas, and enjoy social activities together.
By bringing together academia and industry, the project encourages knowledge-sharing and collaboration to drive progress in net-zero construction, benefiting civil infrastructure and societal ecosystems worldwide. A key part of this project is the Net-Zero Future Conference series. The first conference was held in 2024 in Oslo, starting a tradition of collaboration and knowledge exchange. The 2025 event in Cape Town continued this work, uniting experts and visionaries to advance sustainable construction innovations, and now in 2026 the conference will take place in Darmstadt from September 30th to October 2nd, 2026.
