CALLA -
The new restaurant at the darmstadtium

With seating for 80 diners on the ground floor and for 40 guests in the café area on the upper floor, the "Calla" offers plenty of space for congress visitors as well as the local Darmstadt citizenry. The restaurant and café areas are bright, friendly and inviting while the lounge and bar are appealing places to settle in for a longer stay. The large open area on the outdoor steps of the darmstadtium is a particular highlight and offers excellent views of the palace. In the summer, this is a perfect spot for guests to relax and take advantage of the excellent catering. A flexible room-in-room design can accommodate group events of up to 30 people.

The cuisine is refreshingly open-minded with the menu ranging from regional to innovative international dishes. A joyful spirit of experimentation pervades the cooking style and some apparently familiar dishes on the menu are presented in surprisingly different, exotic ways. Responsible handling of food products and transparency in quality are two of the most important criteria for the restaurant.

The interior design was developed by the design office Heinrich Fiedeler in Wiesbaden, which has also worked for the Autostadt (car city) in Wolfsburg, Hugo Boss and WMF among others.
