How to find us
The darmstadtium science | congresses centre is conveniently located in the heart of the Rhine-Main region with direct access to and from the A5 and A67 motorways. Frankfurt International Airport is just 20 minutes away by car and around 30 minutes by rail. Darmstadt's main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) is just under five minutes from the congress centre and is easy to reach by both car and tram.
Arriving by public transport
Public transport services take you from the main railway station Darmstadt Hauptbahnhof, which is also served by ICE high speed trains, to the congress centre in just under 5 minutes. Bus and tram services run from the central bus station (Zentraler Omnibusbahnof, ZOB) at the main entrance on the east side of the station. The tram routes 2 and 3 and the bus routes F and H take you directly to the darmstadtium (use the stop called "Schloss") as well as other destinations. Further trams and buses offer connections to Luisenplatz, which is just a few minutes' walk away from the darmstadtium.
Darmstadt Ostbahnhof (east station) is an important railway hub connecting Frankfurt and the Odenwald region and is just 800 m away. From here you can take the bus routes K55 and L (in the direction Hauptbahnhof) to the stop "Schloss".
Travel fast, cheaply and environmentally friendly to us and enjoy your journey from the beginning. The German Railway travel information doesn`t know only train schedules but also when streetcars and busses drive and trams and how long one needs for the footpath of and up to the next stop.
Arriving by plane
Frankfurt International Airport is just a 20 minute taxi ride from Darmstadt. And from the regional airport in Egelsbach the journey to the darmstadtium is even shorter. There are also fast shuttle bus and rail connections to and from Frankfurt Airport. Every 30 minutes, the "Airliner" express bus transports airline passengers from Frankfurt Airport (Terminal 1 and Terminal 2) to the east side of Darmstadt main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) providing excellent connections to bus and rail services.

Darmstadt – the city of science and technology – has several direct connections to the A5 and A67 motorways. The congress centre is in the city centre, right next to the Residential Palace (Residenz-Schloss). From the exit "Darmstadt/Stadtmitte" follow the signs to the darmstadtium. The darmstadtium has 454 underground parking spaces located directly beneath the building. This car park is accessible via the approach roads from Alexanderstraße or Schlossgarage/Karolinenplatz. From here, the route to the darmstadtium underground car park is signposted. A further 2,000 parking spaces are connected to the centre via underground walkways.
